NCAA Baseball Division I Tournament Preview

Following a crazy conference tournament weekend, the NCAA selection committee announced the 64-team field for the Division I baseball tournament on Monday.

The first round of the tournament is the Regionals. There are 16 regional hosts with each having four teams in the regional. This round is a double elimination format. The regionals start on Friday June 1 and will run through Monday June 4, if necessary.

Top 8 National Seeds

As you see can below, only one of the national seeds is a conference champion. The committee awarded these at-large national seeds due to their regular season record and RPI rating. Once again, the SEC has three national seeds this season.
