Chicago White Sox @ Texas Rangers Preview

The White Sox were given the gift of playing one of the worst teams in the majors as preparation for one of the best. Luckily, they seized their opportunity and put up 26 runs in the three game sweep against the Twins. However, the Rangers have won seven consecutive series at home after taking two of three games from the Red Sox this week. Unfortunately, the White Sox have their #4 & #5 pitchers starting this weekend. Things might get ugly. With John Danks reporting soreness after throwing only 20 pitches, some titillating news from Ken Rosenthal is that the Sox REALLY WANT Zack Greinke. Injury notes: Youkilis was pulled on Wednesday after slight discomfort in his left ankle. He hopes to play on Friday. AJ Pierzynski didn’t play on Wednesday because of a slight left oblique strain.

Flowers? Yes, he can only go up, but that’s still a bold prediction.
