Thus far the White Sox and the Blue Jays series is tied at three games a piece. This dirty, dirty four game series will hopefully settle the score. (In favor of the Sox of course). The last place Jays have arguably the three most important bats nursing injuries: Colby Rasmus (groin), Jose Bautista (wrist), and Brett Lawrie (oblique). Rasmus might be the only one to play this series as he is day-to-day. Unfortunately the White Sox are facing some fatigue/injury issues of their own. Paul Konerko landed himself on the 7-day disabled list due to concussion like symptoms which led to the call-up of hero DeWayne Wise. With Konerko out, manager Robin Ventura has used AJ Pierzynski and Dayan Viciedo at DH and Adam Dunn and Tyler Flowers at first. Another transaction was the send down of Jordan Danks, Friday’s hero, for LHP Donnie Veal from AAA-Charlotte. Baseball night in Canada is set and of course the cards seem too stacked in the White Sox favor for things to go as planned.
