The team that got screwed the most by realignment: Florida Panthers

Worst team in league: Florida Panthers

The team that will overcome previous playoff disappointment: Toronto Maple Leafs

The team that will make the playoffs after not making it the year before: Edmonton Oilers

The team that will regret the draft choice they made: Colorado Avalanche

The team that will give the Chicago Blackhawks fits: St. Louis Blues/Anaheim Ducks

Award winners:

Hart – Alexander Ovechkin: He will score a lot of goals like he always does but the Great Eight still doesn’t have the team around him to succeed.

Calder – Seth Jones: Jones is regarded as the best blue line prospect since Chris Pronger according most hockey scouting services. Expect for him to learn a lot from blue line stalwart Shea Weber.

Vezina – Henrik Lundqvist: Solid goaltender. The Rangers won’t get far without Lundqvist. No goaltender is more important to the success of the team than he is.

Norris – Shea Weber: Weber is the best defenseman in the game. Other players might get more notoriety but Weber is as steady as they come.

Selke – Jonathan Toews: After winning a second Stanley Cup along with being widely recognized as one of the top players in the game, the awards should start rolling in for Captain Serious.

Jack Adams – Dallas Eakins: The Edmonton Oilers remind me of the Blackhawks from a few seasons ago. Look for this team to take the next step.

Rocket Richard (goals) Alexander Ovechkin: See above.

Art Ross (overall scoring) Sidney Crosby: Sid the Kid is the best player in the game. He is the straw that stirs the drink. Expect another stellar season from Crosby.
